Mary’s Pence is a faith-based and feminist organization that invests in women across the Americas by funding community initiatives and fostering collaborations to create social change. Mary’s Pence works through two programs. The Mary’s Pence Grants program supports initiatives in the U.S. and Canada that are led by local women working on justice issues in their communities with a focus on systemic change. Through the ESPERA program, Mary’s Pence partners with local women’s groups in Central America, Mexico, and Haiti to create community lending pools which are owned and managed collectively by the local women and are used to fund income-generating projects. We provide accompaniment and support as they manage the funds and grow their businesses. Mary’s Pence envisions a world where empowered women and their communities flourish in solidarity and justice.
