If you have not already done so, please let Ruth know immediately if you are coming and if you need housing. Ruth has some rooms in her home, a large Episcopal rectory. She has also made arrangements for rooms at $99 per night at a nearby Sheraton North.

Cost for food, Friday evening dinner through Sunday morning: $40 for the weekend.

Schedule:
Friday, 9/11 --- 5:30pm: Gathering and re-connecting over drinks and dinner at Ruth’s home

Saturday, 9/12
8-9am --- Breakfast at Ruth’s home

9am-Lunch W-CC business session including:
Approval of the agenda; any additions, changes, housekeeping issues, etc.

  • Time and place for Spring conference call and Fall meeting
  • Report on American Catholic Council and our membership and support of their 2011 Detroit conference --- Susan Farrell, Marissa Valeri, Erin Sainz Hanna --- see their website at www.americancatholiccouncil.org for more information
  • Report on reproductive justice issues --- Marissa Valeri
  • Membership issues: new members and membership categories redux
  • Suggestions for two social actions: one church-related; one policy-related

Lunch at The Grand Finale restaurant (one block from the convent) --- we each pay for our own lunch
We will then re-convene at the Convent of the Transfiguration, 495 Albion Ave, Glendale, OH (near Ruth’s home) for the afternoon sessions which are open to non-members. Please feel free to bring guests.

2-4pm --- Apostolic Visitation of Women’s Communities: The Church’s Oppression of all Women

7:30-9pm --- Intergenerational Dialogue facilitated by Kate Childs Graham, Erin Sainz Hanna, and Susan Farrell
